Wondering if someone can give me some insight in how to Eircom has managed to block me (from just one particular page) on the pirate bay even thou I am on a UPC connection..

Went down to visit the mammy... brought down the laptop so I could get a bita work done.
She's with Eircom.. Flicked open my firefox, the usual tabs automatically open from my last session, and was doing some work!

A pirate bay tab was open from my last session and I always use that page to DL my fav show when its updated.

For some reason, now that I'm home and back on UPC the same page is blocked! can use any other page one the pirate bay except for that one!

    Tis as strange!

Maybe the lappy has cached the page since the visit to your mothers eircom connection.

Yea, clear your cookies, cache and all that.

    Give CCleaner a run.

Pirate Bay has moved and its new location is not even blocked by eircom.

    You mean IPv6 or...?

    They'll catch up blocking eventually.

Yea IPv6.Will they keep catching up blocking every time..... :D
In theory, The Pirate Bay can simply keep changing IP addresses — and if you’re thinking about the fact that TPB has to run out of IPv4 addresses eventually, get this: In a hilarious twist, The Pirate Bay has now enabled IPv6 on 2002:c247:6b96::1. It is likely that TPB was allocated one IPv6 /64 subnet by its ISP, which equates to 18,446,744,073,709,551,616 addresses. It’s also possible that TPB simply applied to RIPE and obtained a /32 block, which is an address space so large that it’s not worth writing down.

Block that whole block, hell, in Russia I don't think they even need a court order to do it now.

The fix is as simple as pressing ctrl+shift+delete and clearing the cache

Same as above clean you **** out. My way is click start, type cmd open the prompt and type ipconfig /flushdns that will do it for you. Or if it happens and you get the eircom blocked page just reload the page that does it for me 99% of the time.
