I need some advice please. I am married and earn 40k- 50k per year. My wife has no job and currently and we have always been taxed jointly. She has recently received an offer of part time work, 16hrs p/week. She would be earning €196 per week. her employer has said they will pay her PRSI. What I am wondering is will we be crucified for much tax/levies etc and would it be worth her working??
I am not Tax-Wise at all...
    Thanks everyone

There are many tax calculators online- try my one which is linked in my signature below (you'll see the signature when logged in to Boards- I can't mention it directly in this post as the moderator neother trusts nor tests such calculators) but 'caveat emptor'- I don't guarantee that it's right in all circumstances.
