Might have a job got driving a dumper but I have to get the ticket for it. Could anyone tell a good place where to get it around connaught??
Could I chance going for the experienced ticket instead of the provisional ticket???

Are the farm Relief services crowd still doing cscs tickets over your way? I'm fairly sure they are and are probably your best bet. To get the experienced version you will probably need references to back up your hours spent operating one, it's got stricter lately as Fas are not under pressure so have time on their hands to dream up new and stupid rules. Do you actually have experience on one or are you going to blag it?

Have no experience but the brother drives one full time and was telling me to get my ticket because there might be work coming up. He has given me the know how about them and he said to go for the experienced ticket but im a bit worried because its nearly €800 to do it and I don't want to go failing it. Do ya think I should blag it? Don't know about the farm relief services.

I can tell you how to drive an artic, but that doesn't make me or you an operator. Get a few hours experience on one so you don't make an eejit of yourself going in for the test - ask your bruv to give you some time on one. Google FRS for your nearest test centre. €800?? Jasus, I gave up testing lads on machines too soon!:D Blag it if you must, but get in a fair few hours first and get references or your blagging might fall flat.:) Best of luck with it.

I'd say a load practice is crucial, you could do enough to pass a test, but you'll likely get the sack if you turn the fcukin thing over, and worse, maybe even hurt yourself or somebody else. What size dumper? maybe you could hire one out if anyone you know has a weekend's work for one.

    Hire an A25? Ha ha.

If you found someone to hire one to you self drive I doubt you would have much change out of 1k by the time you had it delivered, rented and dieseled for a weekend.

They are not that hard to drive but you have to get your head around the fact the don't opposite steer in reverse and as soon as you put a lock on it you can see the body in one mirror and the field next door in the other so there is a knack in reversing one
