NCT - Headrests

    Hello,
I bought a car a while ago (Peugeot 207), and there are no headrests on the back seat. The NCT isn't for a good while, but I would like to know whether the lack of headrests is a failable offence in the test. I have googled and I have looked up the NCT website but cannot find an answer. The only mention of seats on the website is to state that seats should be secure and the right height. I'd appreciate if anyone could enlighten me on whether I need to buy headrests before the test! Thank you.
PS. There are holes for rests on the backseat, if that is relevant.

Since they are not mentioned as a fail item in the NCT Manual they're not required, even if they were originally fitted and removed.

Just NCT'd my C3, no rear headrests. No problem, it passed.

    Good luck on the test.

They seem to be not required by NCT, but if you carry any passengers on back seats, they are pretty much a must-have.

I wouldn't get into a car without them if I could avoid it at all.

I've been in two pretty nasty rear endings and I can only imagine the damage I would have sustained if there hadn't been head rests.

Base model 207s don't come with rear headrests. It's not an nct fail.

    The manual
It's good for finding out what they will test you on.

Thanks everyone. I was also a bit worried about the safety aspect, even though I don't often carry anyone in the back seat. I might look into buying a pair. Would I would need to go to a Peugeot dealer especially?
