Cheap cycling gear

Just a quick query for all you cycling enthusiasts. Has anyone used 4ucycling.com to buy cheap cycling gear? I've seen mixed reviews, quite a lot of which are saying it's a scam.

    Would appreciate your views.

    Thanks :D

I do not recommend you buy,, some products quality is very bad,
    I usually order from Amazon, http://www.performancebike.com/ , http://www.voler.com, www.zorro-cycling.com.

I'm finding the Lidl and Aldi stuff is fine. Cheap as chips, and at least acceptable quality.

Some good deals in Scott shorts and Craft jerseys in TKMax recently. Got a nice plain classic jersey for €20.

I noticed at the weekend that Tesco have started selling jerseys and shorts too. €15 euro for a jersey. Not sure what the quality is like but can't be any worse than what Aldi or Lidl are doing. For such a low price it would be worth the risk

Yeah only 15. Hard to beat that price. Laoch I think was the make of them. They have them on stands beside their cycling accessories rather than in the clothes sections. Only thing is they're in plastic bags so its hard to see what they look like exactly.

I'll have to check them out, presumably they'd be more available at Tescos rather than having to wait for specific weeks in Lidl/Aldi.

Regarding jerseys etc, cheap stuff is fine. Regarding shorts, you get what you pay for. I had some lidl cycling shorts and thought they were fine, that was when I was on a hybrid. Got a carbon fiber road bike, immediately regretted cheap shorts. Now I buy proper shorts €40/€50 is the price range I go for. Very important should you decide to extend your family tree!!!!

Trespass in dun laoghaire shopping centre has cycling jerseys. It's actually an outdoors shop ( hill walking stuff, tents etc) but the jerseys seemed good.
They have shorts too but I didn't look at them.
Everything in shop is on 50% sale too

Got these from chainreactions for €22 and free posting. Best pair of cheap shorts. I tried lidl ones (now use it as chain rag). If my arse could talk and it has tried believe me, it would sing songs about them.
