    Anyone been to Valencia, I was thinking of doing 3-4 nights there in September. Any recommendations for hotel/things to do etc ?

    It's a beautiful city, great architecture, the old riverbed drained provides a lovely city garden/recreation space. Flights are awkward, only Ryanair fly there and times are less than ideal.. Wednesday and Sunday only, early morning return flight. Recommend staying near City of Arts and Sciences!

    Thanks for all the info Corkgirl, I would love to go but as you say the flight times aren't great. I have a friend who will be in Alicante at the same time so I might spend a few nights in Valencia, then get the train/bus/drive down to spend a night with her and fly home from there.
