Anyone here using a CEC adapter for their HTPC/XBMC. I'm considering one for my HTPC but I'd like some real world opinions of how well it works.

I got the pulse eight one. I have a philips tv and a sony amp hooked up on the other side of my adapter, and it functions as you would expect. I can navigate the menus with my tv remote or change the volume from my htpc remote (which I only still have because it was part of a dvb adapter I bought and I think it is a nicer remote than the tv one). It also auto switches to my htpc when I turn it on, etc.

So I think it works well for what it is. There are a couple of issues I have with it, primarily it doesn't scroll down when I hold down a button on my tv remote. I know that it is possible but I just don't think it has been implemented for my tv yet.
