Salvage amount - difference between insurance and garage

    Hello,

Back in december last year got a salvage figure from insurance for my wrote off car.Not my fault. The other guy didn't had insurance so i had to wait for insurance to deal with !

Last week called insurance for update, they asked me to call some garage to collect my car. After speaking with garage, they gave me a half value of the quoted car by insurance, also mentioning that their quote is valid only two weeks.
The insurance now is saying that they warned me of the posibility of loosing the value of the car with the salvage fee,in a small print.

The letter stating date of 22 june 2012 are explaining again all these figures but i don't get the salvage fee how it was deducted and then halved, without my own intervention !??

I had comprehensive,it wasn't my fault so i was waiting for insurance to do their move first !
Now they pass the "blame" on my side !
I understood that once figures agreed they will stay same, until all case resolved and closed !

Any one in the same position, thanks in advance for any advice.
