    Hi all,

Will be up in the shmoke next week. Just wondering do any shops sell Jazzmaster tremelo arms.

I bought one off ebay advertised as a Jazzie tremelo arm, and it's clearly not. It fits but it's not angled. It's right angled, so the actual arm is almost right on the body, so can't really use it properly. You can't really bend it "down" or in towards the bosy as it is almost on the body as it is.....

Would be handy to pick one up in a shop rather than go through the online lark again...

or you could bend the one that you bought and cant use.

you are bound to know someone who has a metal vice on a bench........

one warning though, DO NOT get the screw thread near the jaws of the vice as you'll damage them.

a piece of steel pipe slid over the arm will increase your leverage and pinpoint where the bend happens too.

You could ask the lads in Musicmaker if they have any spare. Failing that, there's 3 or 4 guitar stores near there, Dublin Guitar Centre, Waltons, Perfect Pitch and Someneckguitars up the road.

I installed a Staytrem on a Jap Jazzmaster a while back and it is definitely worth the money. Makes it much more usable.

It is the same trem that is on the Johnny Marr signature Jag.
