basically got into a row in a nite club on friday night where i was assaulted by the bouncers
my girlfriend works there and a bar man threatened to kill her and her mother who both work there
all were not working at the time that nite
she was in work there this morning and has came home after getting the sack by the boss and has viewed cctv of some of the incident and viewed the bar man pushing her and i intervened to stop it and was held down by the arms and legs and punched to the face by the bouncers and threw out
the boss stopped it and wouldnt show the part where she was assaulted by them she was asked for a copy of it and he said are you living in dream land to get out and the barman who started it all has kept his job
can he legally just get rid of the cctv or has he to keep it she wants to get a copy of it all to bring to a tribunal for un fair dismissal

Call to your local Garda station report the incident. Press charges. CCTV footage could then be obtained. The issue is not one of unlawful dismissal really is it?

    You need a solicitor too.

she was in work on saturday and sunday with no hassle and had talked to him and everything was grand but this morning she asked to see the cctv as there was a lot of rumors as to what happened between the staff as her sister and mother work there at different times and different story's went around putting blame on her
when she seen the part where i was held down and punched she knew the part where they hit her and pushed her mother to floor was next, he stopped it and wouldn't play any more, he then started shouting in her face calling her all sorts then finally shouting to her she was sacked and also sacked her mother for telling him he cannot speak to staff like that
so basically she wasn't sacked over Friday nite but for wanting to see the video to prove who started it as the boss had made out it was all her no one else as the barman has kept his job
kinda dont really want to go down the gardai route of prssing charges against the bouncers and such is that the only way to obtain it tho?

I'm not going to allow the continued discussion of this in breach of the charter. Sorry.

I'll say it again. It is not normal to allow assaults, etc. in the way explained. It's a matter for law enforcement and your choice to do the right thing.

    Thread closed.
