From WWE.com : Sure, Rodney Dangerfield said it first, but WWE Champion CM Punk echoed the statement with gusto last week on Raw, airing his grievances that The Rock — and, by extension, the WWE itself — hasn’t afforded him the proper reverence as champion in recent weeks. It was a strong argument, but The Second City Saint’s night didn’t exactly get better thanks to Raw General Manager AJ Lee’s decision to place him in a Triple Threat WWE Title Match at SummerSlam against both John Cena and Big Show. Elsewhere, the inimitable Miss Lee turned the tables on her volcanic ex, Daniel Bryan, and Alberto Del Rio made a bold proclamation that didn’t exactly pay dividends for him on SmackDown.

In an interview with The Baltimore Sun, Shawn Michaels has said that he has no idea what the WWE has planned for Raw tonight in San Antonio, which is being advertised as "Shawn Michaels' Appreciation Night".

"I honestly don't know [what to expect]," Michaels admits. "I have probably less information than you guys do, which is [WWE's] doing. I do my best to always take that as a compliment. I like to feel that they basically know that they sort of let me know what's going on that day, then we can go ahead and get it done."

This is really weird alright. Apparently it's HBK night in San Antonio but it hasn't been mentioned on WWE TV. I wonder why they wouldn't make a big deal out of it?

"Right Shawn, here's the plan. You go to the ring and dance around, then Brock comes out and kills you. Got all that?"

Knowing wwe it'll be "Right Brock here's the plan. You go to the ring and flex, then Marty Jannety comes out and pins you clean. Then you kill him to get back the heat* you have".

    *very little

I said this a few weeks ago but I'll say it again; it was likely nothing more than something for the locals; a ploy to sell tickets to the show. They did a Bret Hart appreciation show....on a house show. Given HBK is probably already going to be there, they can just have him cut a promo before Raw starts, have him involved briefly in the dark match after the show and still call it "HBK night". Given there was never any mention of it on TV, it was always unlikely it was anything more than a dark appearance :/

A more important topic though.....who will face the ONE MAN BAND BAY-BAY tonight?

I wouldn't be surprised if the one mand band facing returning legends segment just wasn't there one week and he disappeared off of television for a few weeks after that. Seems like something they'd do. Although, having said all that, I wouldn't say no to an appearance by Marty Jannetty. I'd certainly like to see him have a 2 minute match more than I'd like to see Shawn Michaels (aged 47), dance around like a stripper and make unsubtle biblical references.

Sean "X-Pac" Waltman stated on a local radio station in San Antonio this morning that he would be in attendance at tonight's RAW, which is being billed as "HBK Appreciation Night." Michaels posted this photo of he and Waltman on his Twitter account.

Shawn Michaels appeared on FOX San Antonio to promote tonight's RAW. During the interview, Michaels stated that he has no plans to wrestle another match, and that his wrestling school is shut down and he has no intentions of starting it back up. He was also asked if there would be another DX reunion tonight."I don't think so, but Road Dogg is here and X-Pac is here, and obviously Triple H is here," said Michaels. "But I don't think that there is a scheduled reunion. But again, you never know."

Well Michael Cole said at the first match (when Vader came back) it was supposed to be a returning legend every week until RAW 1000 only. They obviously extended it for Orton's return; hopefully it continues for a bit longer!

Has anything been planned for tonight at all? I can just imagine Cole mentioning an "EXPLOSIVE MAIN EVENT" involvong Big Show. :/

That's exactly what sprang to mind when I was typing that earlier A Primal Nut. It'll peter out.

WWE are kind enough to announce Michaels will be on the show on Twitter twenty minutes before it starts. I've never understood why they don't advertise things in advance.

Considering the way RAW is booked, according to IWC legend, I'd not be surprised if they'd still not finalized the main-angle for tonight's show.

Mind, I'll be glad if Lesnar and HHH do something with HBK, just so I don't have to see the recap of their exchange at RAW1000 for the fifth time in a week.

God damn it I ****ing hate Orton, he is more boring than a Cena versus Ultimate Warrior Iron Man match.

So that is the new intro theme. I have never 'meh'd' harder.

    No.

Am I the only one who cant stand AJ

Thought it was an interesting angle at the start but to make her a GM is mind boggling

No. I'm sick of it already too. I think this is going to prove even worse than the anonymous GM gimmick.

I got sick of her half way through her first show as GM! Way overexposed right from the start.

They should go back to the Jack Tunney type GM. The less they appear, the more important their announcements will seem. Even just use Vince for the role since he does be there nearly every week anyway.

Yeah, I'm getting sick of of seeing him stroll down to the ring like that.

Used to love him years ago but like most others I'm thinking it's time to hang up the boots.

AJ needs to drop the skipping, doesn't suit a GM character at all.

Id take anything at this stage just to get Jerry Lawler off of Raw. He was some what entertaining years ago with JR but now ehh.

The sound of him reading from a script makes me vom....

I'm sorry. But I think I'm in love with AJ.

Think its about time they made him look somewhat good though because apart from slapping Cena around his returns been a waste.

Somedays I wish William Regal would appear, wrap Lawler up in a carpet, throw him off the bridge the Smokin' Skull went off, and take his rightful place as announcer on Raw.

JR to do same to Cole.

What's more likely to blow, an Asian hooker or Reys left knee.

The correct answer is Triple H and Kevin Nash's quads respectively.
