ive been thinking about getting into swimming for a while now and am looking for advice on how to get back into it.
my reasons for it are fitness but i have always enjoyed swimming so figure there's no reason not to give it a go.
im 25 and i can swim fairly well (although cant do the butterfly stroke) but im sure my technique is all wrong and my fitness could definitely be improved upon!
is there a group i could join or any improvers adults classes?
im based in south west dublin and the only groups i can find seem to be just for competitions and im nowhere near that level unfortunately!

Have a look at the sticky thread... It has lots of advice re improver classes, techniques, tips for keeping swim logs, etc... I'm starting back tonight after about 20 years! Eek.. I'm going to go my own for a while and build confidence in water again and then perhaps go to improvers lessons or join a club depending how I got on..

Hopefully I won't make a fool of myself later and I'll be back here tomorrow!
