oil for 2004 mondeo tdci

    Anyone know what oil a 04 tdci mondeo takes? Is thre a spec it should meet??

    5W30 semi syn about 6.5 litres

    There is a spec required.If going into a motor factors they should be able to advise the correct one for you.

    Any idea of the service Interval on these?? I have seen 6500 and 12000 miles

    The relevant Ford spec is M2C 913-C.

    Almost all 5w30 oils will meet or exceed that spec. Commonly available oils would include Castrol Magnatec 5w30 and Fuchs Titan XTR 5w30. Ford dealers also sell their own brand oil in 5L or 20L cans at pretty reasonable money.

    Service interval wise, 10k miles is fine. You could push it out to 12-15k if you really wanted but I wouldn't recommend it.

    I used the 5W30 Mag when it was on sale in Halfords.

    Only balls in it comes in 4 litres, and mine took 6.1, making sure I'd have to buy another two next time round...
