Sorry to have to tell you this, but I don't think there is much you can do.

Even if by chance you got through the passport check in the Irish airport (assuming you're flying) you'd almost certainly get stopped at the other side.

Nothing can be done unless you're in the travel area and not with Ryanair, sorry about that.

I know that feeling...lost my passport just days before i was due to fly home to Australia and would have had no chance of getting it replaced in time. Found mine in the bottom of the box with the xmas decorations in it...yes i really did turn the house upside down looking for it!

There really should be an emergency procedure for people whose passports are lost or stolen and who need to travel.

If there was a fee for a quick temporary passport- say 100 for a six month passport- I reckon that would discourage messing with the system.

I dread to think of the state your house will be left in for you to come home to :D but congrats on finding the passport and enjoy the holiday

There was but people just abused it, not buying passports for the sake of it like.

There were temporary passports in the past? Do you have any more details?

How much were they? How long did they last for?
