Buying a PS3

    Hi lad's, I currently have an Xbox 360 but I fear it is showing sign's of breaking soon as it keeps giving me small problems, this is my 3rd xbox so I think I will go out and get a Playstation. My question is should I go for the slim or the old style model? And is there any offer's currently available? I might try and trade in the xbox against the ps3. How much are they selling for these days?

    Wait another 2 weeks, Sony will likely announce a new slimmer PS3 at Gamescom. It'll likely be cheaper and price for current PS3 will drop as well.

    I've been on the fence about getting a PS3 for various reasons but the slimmer news and the price cut is making it look pretty tempting. (MCV are saying its confirmed)

    The thing is it has only 16GB of storage and not sure if this is a lot or feck all. The original slim came with what 120GB?

    I don't game constantly and will probably be running only 1 or 2 games at a time, i.e. will finish/get bored with one game before buying a new one. Also I don't think I'll be doing too much online gaming. So is 16GB enough for a pretty casual gamer (it will be competing with my WiiU and 3DS for time)?

    To be fair if there is one with higher capacity I'll get that but just wondering about the 16GB version if it turns out to be the only version.

    Any more news on this newer PS3 coming? My PS3 suffered the YLOD a while ago and have been waiting to see if the current version will go down in price.

    The Tokyo game show is on from the 20th-23rd of this month , so they might announce something then.
