Not really sure where to post this.

I just passed my test last week and have been offered a part time job as a delivery driver. I was wondering, do I need a different type of insurance to do this?

If it's expensive I'll probably just take the job without getting the extra insurance but I'd prefer to abide by the law

Normally insurance is for social domestic and pleasure use only , this would include driving to work but not necessarily in connection with your work. You will need to check it out with the insurance co. it may not make too much difference to the premium but if you don't declare it and you have an accident whilst doing this work or the insurers find out you are using the car for work they may not pay out ona claim. Is it worth taking the risk?
