It's the total set of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions caused by you.
    Hope that helps :)

Bugger off. The carbon footprint was created to make the middle class feel guilty about enjoying themselves. An anti-smug tax.

What difference does it make to your carbon footprint if you fly first class or economy?!

Offset Now button. Total To Offset = 2.83 tonnes of CO2

    Offset Now results.jpg
    • Your footprint is 2.83 tonnes per year
    • The average footprint for people in Ireland is 10.40 tonnes
    • The average for the industrial nations is about 11 tonnes
    • The average worldwide carbon footprint is about 4 tonnes
    • The worldwide target to combat climate change is 2 tonnes

Whoa. I'm not doing too badly. :)

More baggage allowed, drinks on demand, etc. All the extra weight takes more fuel to carry, presumably.

First class travel usually takes up twice or three times the space of economy class, the A380 can accomadate upto 800 passengers in an all economy configuration however they usually fly with anywhere from 420 -500 passengers due to all the Business and First Class seats.

Last time I checked my Co2 emmissions was 2010 and I emitted 210 tonnes of Co2 that year.

Umm, big. rather large. Huge. Feckin massive tbf. I am a carbon guzzler. On the plus, I plant a lot of trees, ie by the acre, so offset ftw.

The way the bins are set up in my area I think I'm being punished for not producing enough waste. My bins are pay as you go but they introduced a €5 monthly standing charge lately. I put out my bins maybe once every two months, so before my bins get lifted at all I'm being charged €10, then the best part of €20 to lift the bins.

It's probably still cheap but the standing charge removed the reward for being frugal with waste.

That thing is a joke. I don't have a car, haven't flown on a plane in 2 years, don't leave things on stand-by, buy organic mostly, don't have a bank account (also can't see how that matters), rarely do the "carbon intensive" activities they were on about and yeah I still have a carbon footprint of 6.5 or something :L And the target is a carbon footprint of 2.0? You'd have to live under a rock to get that rating :L Good luck to them :L

so that's what that smell is. I always wondered.
I'm cramming our rubbish into the spare bedroom, when thats full, I'll cram the sitting room, then the dining room. I'm saving a fortune on bin charges and cannot see a downside. When the gaffs full, I'll move. With my cunning savings, I will be able to buy a fine house in Foxrock. I've this all thought out tbf. Wifes a bit dubious on this, but I've promised her she can spend some of the savings on a BMW so that's all cool.
