Hotel/Hostel recommendation in BARCELONA

    Hey guys,

    Basically what's in the title! Decided today to book flights for a weekend in two weeks. Going with my sister, not too fussy, but would like a nice place. Budget under €200 for three nights. Anywhere nice you stayed?

    I stayed at the above in 2009, its basic enough but clean and affordable and nice staff.

    This is probably far too late but Hotel Canton which is just off La Rambla near the Columbus Statue.

    I cannot speak highly enough of this place. I've stayed here twice in the last 3 years. The staff are friendly, especially the older man. When we were checking in he was talking about a weekend he spent in Galway in the 70's. Recently refurbished too since my 1st visit which makes this place a delight. The street may be a little sketch rather late at night but then again La Rambla will probably be worse. Was €40 a night which isn't cheap but certainly way better than premium hotels. It's not luxury but a great base.
