    Fair play to ya.
The key to it is "wanting to give up" (i.e not thinking "ah sure I feel like giving up,how hard can it be ?)
Off them 5 months my self today actually and feeling great.

Give yourself a target to aim for.
Maybe save for one of these ?:)

    Hungarian vizsla

    Thats the one.
You're not the first to mistake him for a ridgeback( our "transient cousins" wanted to buy him as a ridgeback)

Anyway, back to the (non)smoking thing, keep yourself busy and be prepared for a few rough days and nights and probably a few side effects.
But they will pass and you will genuinely feel much better very quickly.
And you will save serious cash(€10 a pack doesn't be long mounting up).
My last bit of advice would be to concentrate on giving up the smokes.
Do whatever suits you and it will make it much easier for ya.
Again best of luck and keep posting here.

Biggest thing that helped me was having someone who had already given up to talk to. I fell off the wagon a few times, but because he was absolutely convinced that I could do it, I kindof took confidence from him. Biggest thing you need to know is that there WILL come a time, if you stick with it, when you won't think about smoking for an hour, then you won't think about it for two hours, then it'll be a whole day, a whole week, months etc. I promise, promise, promise, you CAN do this!

    Yeah I do.
Funny enough the first time I saw a Vizsla was a guy using it for falconry with a lanner/peregrine cross.
    Amazing dog and amazing bird.

My lad is 2 next month and is starting to get good so hopefully he will shine next season.

As regards the smoke after getting something, you'll get over that fairly quickly, don't worry.
