Hi folks, im in the north east.

Im looking to trade in my VW Golf 05 for any of passat/mondeo/octavia all in 07/08 model, preferably low mileage and diesel 1.9/2l.

Looking for any recommended garages within the region.

Been offered a decent deal on an octavia.

72k miles, 1.9tdi looking for €4950 plus my golf which they have valued at €3000.

    Any advice/help greatly appreciated.

passat are good car but do not get a 2.0tdi or auto big problem with them .1.9tdi are good and if octavia have 2.0tdi engine do not buy it

I'd imagine you would get more than €3k for a 05 Golf if you sold in privately. There are sellers of 02/03 Golfs asking close to that money for them.

yeah but my problem is i just cannot be arsed with all the hassle.

Its not nct'd has a scratch down one side, it has 100k miles on the clock but really only has 50k miles because a new engine was fitted at 50k.

you start explaining that to people and they will start to worry.

Would prefer to just trade in, and get it all done in one swoop.

You'd be better off getting the scratch fixed and then get it NCT'ed too.
