Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

32 County Photo Project Finished!

03-08-2012 3:36pm#1A little faith goes a long way! Today I received the camera which has travelled the entirety of the country from one boardsie to another who, for the most part if not entirely did not know each other from Adam. That in itself is very cool in my book and the fact it has reached the conclusion after over two years in the making is a credit to the people who stuck it out.
Special mention go to Tallon who had the idea in the first place, Joe (I don't care if you used to be foto_joe you are only getting one mention
) who kick started the idea in the second thread, The_tractor and Homer Simpson who pushed it along. I spent half an hour looking over the thread if I missed anyone who really helped this project along my apologies please let me know and I will edit this to add them.

Ok seeing as there was alot of interest in trying to guess the counties I renamed the pics and shuffled them about a bit so the order from the list would be no use to anyone trying to cheat! Oh and do not give away the pic you took too!

That's longer than 1 month per county - how the camera was never lost I don't know.
We should put together a table of who took which shot, and how long it took, to see if the best shots were the ones where people took their time.
I would do it, but I can't face going through the 49 pages [ :eek: ] of the thread.0 -

My photo is one of the worst and had the camera for one of the longest times!
After a couple of weeks of constant rain and overcast skies in the west it was a bit of a panic shot under pressure to get it moving again! 0 -

Oh wow, it's been three years :eek:. That's how long I've been home from from Oz :eek:. Crazy stuff!!
Congrats to everyone who took part and especially those who kept motivating everyone. It's been so much fun following the thread, almost a little sad it's over now.

That's the one
Went for that location as it's one of the most recognisable tourist attractions in Donegal.
Was hoping for more of the background scenery of lough Swilly / Inch Island to come out in the photo. Had my DSLR with me too to try out a few practice shot's first :P. Went on purpose on an overcast day in the hope of avoiding the flare that actually did happen in the end up, but ah well it's grand I suppose.
Great work to everyone on the photo's and as AnCatDubh says thankfully not one dangely bit in sight :pac:0 -

Hi all
No.28 is Co. Down; it's very close to the Silent Valley reservoir, I wanted to take a photos of the Mourne Wall but I drove down there after work so the evening was getting darker and darker and I spotted a scene with a farmhouse, and a hill with some foreboding clouds and a stone wall running across the hillside.....perfect......except the photo doesn't really capture the feeling I was going for :rolleyes: (oh, and of course, when I went to drive home I spotted about three different scenes around the Silent Valley that I thought may have suited better ohhh the pressure of just one shot!! )
Really impressed with the finished product I've lived in Scotland for about two years now so great to be part of this.....thanks to those pushing it on for 3years!! 0 -

just addin my one if i was to do it again I would probably do the Lakes of Killarney or Dingle or even a straight forward streetscape in Tralee or Killarney on a Saturday0 -
