Low fuel warning light in a Civic ?

Hi All I'm just wondering if anyone knows if a '00 Civic would have a low fuel warning light. The car is a 1.5cc Saloon. I have been driving it on what looks like empty (needle on the red line) for a while now and there's no warning light appearing. Thanks

The gauge sender in the fuel tank could be broken.

Had a 97 almera and it had a faulty light. These warnings have been in cars for a long time, get some fuel if you can reach the garage :-)

I have a 01 civic and thought it didnt have a fuel warning light as I had low fuel a few times and nothing, then one day the car had trouble starting and I noticed a yellow light on the dash beside the fuel gauge, got the car moving and headed straight to the nearest petrol station. You may be experiencing they same OP.
