    Hello boardsies,

I'm getting two Vango Lunar 7.5 tog 250gsm sleeping bag from Argos for my kids. My wife is really concerned that this weight won't be sufficient and we'll end up throwing away our money.

Can anyone attest to the weight/tog rating being sufficient for Irish camping? We really only camp in summer but we won't let a storm stop us either so want them to be comfy. Also kids need a little extra warmth than adults.

Whatever sleeping bag you decide on a good tip is to use a sleeping bag liner and gain a couple of degrees usually available from Heatons sports world department and good outdoor stores for a higher premium these are easier cleaned than sleeping bag. It is imperative to use insulation between you/child and ground, air beds i find do not insulate unless they are specified as 3 season of higher, really anything of foam or foil backed should work but to different extents. Sorry to go on but yes the heavier/bulkier the more insulation. Ps if a sleeping bag rates itself as x degrees add at least 5 degrees.
