I don't know if it's always done it or if something happened recently but when I turn the handle bars In either direction I get a single click when the wheel is at around the 45degree from straight point, it happens at the same angle on both directions. I Only noticed it last night when moving the bike inter garage. The bike is only 2 months old and has roughly 350 km on it. It still hasn't had its first service and I plan getting that done next week and I'll mention it to them but had intended doing a few 20km spins before then and want to be sure it's not a bearing that's gone which could get worse. The bike is a Ridley compact and has a 4ZA carbon front fork.

It's not the cables catching or clacking off something, is it?

No, I made sure nothing was catching on anything. It seems to be coming from where the fork slots into the frame which leads me to believe its a bearing.

It's unlikely to be a bearing failure after such little use. I'm with Tonyandthewhale on the cables: it could be the point where the cables slot into the frame on the downtube.

Mine click from that point when I turn the steerer almost full lock. Having said that, I don't normally turn the steerer so much so it doesn't bother me.

I'll double check again this evening. I only noticed it when off the bike and moving it, I'd never have cause to turn the steering that much while on the bike. Hopefully it's a cable twisting but will mention it when I drop bike over for its first service.

Checked again and i think you are right and that its the cables, the left cable twists and clicks when i turn right and vice versa...at least thats what i hope it is but i'll ask at the LBS just to be sure.
