Advertised on done deal. its on his farm/not sure whos name on it, outside Carrickmacross. As far as i am aware most of the cows are imported calves brought to this stage for selling. probably head for a browse anyway. Seen a clearance sale of bf, milkers go for small money today. Will be curious to see how banty gets on with that no. and the current situation with tight grass everywhere. The last ones he sold went mental money.

Great looking stock looking at the ad.

stock don't look anything special from the pictures and with every mother and daughter bulled in the country it could be a hard sell. but who knows, farm sales can throw up the most strangest of results

seemed like a lot of "driving on" happened at the last sale and left a bit of a sour taste round here anyway.

Did anyone make it to Banty's big sale today. Any word on what trade was like.

Is this a farm clear out sale or is this his system of production rearing cows and calves for sale????

Buys in foreign calves and rears to cows. think last year was his first year. didnt make it to the sale. in ballybay instead, trade was a lot better than carnaross, but as usual some rubbish stock. seen a glimpse of good prices with a charlaois bull calf selling for 385. good calf but definaetly no profit at current prices.
