    Hi Guys,

I'm buying a smart tv, and I want to run sky go off it, so is my best option an Xbox or Laptop or other option? I will have to buy Xbox or laptop so just want to know which would be best. I have a iPad and iPhone but would rather not use them.
Any help would be really appreciated

id go for whichever can be gotten the cheapest at the time, games console with a remote control is nice though, more like using a dvd player or sky box than using "that computer over there"

To use Sky Go on the xbox you will also need an active xbox live subscription.

    Indeed, ~€30 for 14months.

Or connect a hdmi each time you want to use it.

Personally speaking, OP, I would (and do) go with the xbox option, it's worth the subscription and handy for the odd game online too. I hdmi my laptop to the telly occasionally when watching LOF and while it does the job well, I'm glad I don't have to do it more often.

I personally use my laptop. You can download all of Sky Go's content for offline viewing on your laptop, which is always handy incase you lose your connection. You don't have to mess around with the Xbox Live Monthly subscription either.

There's a great piece of software for Windows called Plex. It's a very nice, slick application for watching all your local content on your TV, and they have a Sky Go plug-in too (which is very buggy at the moment, but still it's a free option).
