Hi, My focus is stuttering atm, nothing major usually at lower revs. It will loose power of a second and then I will see a puff of black smoke out the back. A bit of history first. I did have a problem last year where at the top of the injectors it was letting out exhaust gas. This was solved by just tightening a few bolts…

Hi,

My focus is stuttering atm, nothing major usually at lower revs. It will loose power of a second and then I will see a puff of black smoke out the back.

A bit of history first. I did have a problem last year where at the top of the injectors it was letting out exhaust gas. This was solved by just tightening a few bolts on the head although this problem went on for a few months before I managed to sort it.

I have also just fixed a cracked air intake hose to the LHS of the engine bay, when I was in the ford garage getting the part, the ford mechanic who I collared in the car park said this would cause you to loose power but after a test run today I Dont think it has improved the situation much.

also 130,000 miles on the clock.
