    Hey all,

Just got chatting to a mate of a mate, this mate has told me this fella has a really good movie library. So he told me a can take my pick and borrow anything I want to watch, fairly sound of him...

This guy consider's himself a movie buff and claims to have all the greatest films...

I'm calling bollocks on him(his only 21, and don't think he could have as extensive a library as he claims), so I need you the people of boards to furnish me with a few films(that are considered cinema classics and movies of great importance to cinema) so when I call over and I can ask him for and really put his claims to the test...

Borrowed "There will be Blood" so that will be watched tonight me thinks...such a great movie.

    No lists please;)

So this chap, completely of his own volition, is allowing you to borrow any movie you wish, yet instead of just being grateful you seek to expose any deficiencies in his library? I hope all he has to lend you is Dude where's my car? And The Human Centipede!

So some young lad was nice enough to allow you access to his collection and instead of being greatful you want to catch him out? How kind of you.

Well I just want to see how extensive his collection is...

I'm not going to directly say it to him, I've had a look at the room where he has his collection and its mighty impressive I'm just curious to see if its as extensive as he claims...

Also his incredibly secretive about how he amassed such a fantastic collection, which is kinda wrecking my head

Little giant with Abbott & Costello. Would be very impressed if he had that movie.

If you are impressed by the amount of dvd's he has which implies he has a couple of hundred at the very least. Why do you think it couldn't contain some titles that a lot of people consider classic films? It's not like you've to go to the center of the earth to get them. You could order Casablanca and On the waterfront right next to Catwoman and Meet the Spartans on Amazon. So why so hard to believe he has some? Not all 21 year olds have sh1te taste across the board.

Just the cost of putting together the collection to be honest

Ask him if he has any Shunji Iwai films like All About Lily Chou-Chou or Love Letter. A bizarrely elusive presence round these parts.

I had well over 400 vhs tapes and close to 100 dvds when I was 21, was working full time since I was 19 and didnt go out much. dvds are dirt cheap these days anyway so its easily done.

Have you seen how cheap DVDs are these days?? Nw with Blu rays they a dirt cheap, then there a Xtra Vision 2nd hand deals and all sorts of sales everywhere. You can get a large collection with a few quid now. Back when DVDs were new I was paying fortune for each new release I got and box sets. I shouldn't have bothered.
