ferguson 120 problem

    Hi there I was hoping for some help.I have a ferguson ariva 120 under a year but for the last few months i have had a few issues.RTE+1 will not show picture but will play sound of what is on the same goes for RTE JNr.I can sometimes get them to work by rescanning but when i turn the box off im back to square one.
    Im thinking i should bring it back before the 12 month warranty is out if there is no way of fixing my problems.Has anyone had any similar problems with there box.Thanks in advance

    The Arivas do this, unfortunately. Apparently not everyone has this problem, but I certainly do too.
    If you rescan while the channel is broadcasting, you can tune it in, but the other will give you sound only.
    In other words, before 7pm you can tune RTEjr; after 7pm you can tune RTE1 +1.

    The only fix I know of is to edit the channel list on a computer with the ArivaEditor.

    Seems a bit of a pain as the box is in my folks home and im only around at the weekend so they dont have RTE+1 during the week.I think when you buy something it should do what it says without having to fiddle with it all the time.I think for fear of anything else happening before the warranty runs out ill bring it back and get a different box.Thanks for the reply
