Do I have to take lessons?

I hold full New Zealand licenses for both car & bike. I know I have to do the initial theory test. However given that I have eight months accident free driving legally with my NZ license & International Permit can I just apply immediately for a road test or do I need to wait six months, take lessons etc?

OP, New Zealand is one of the countries that Ireland has an agreement with that license holders from that country can just exchange their DL for an Irish one. You don't have to go thru the rigamarole of doing the theory test, getting a learner permit, getting lessons, doing a test etc etc. Scroll down to the second paragraph in this link for more deets.

Thank you so much for the info. The form I got was out of date, it didn't include NZ in the list. Thanks again, time & money saved :-D
