My friend is a keen cyclist and wants to starf a club in his locality, his nearest club is based about 20 minutes drive away and he feels from the amount he sees out riding that there would be enough interest to have a good club. Any advice on what he should do to start? Would there be much costs involved etc.

My advice would be to join the club 20 miles away and enjoy just the cycling rather than trying to accommodate everybody in a new club. There sure is a lot of work in it.
