I have a few mallard left I didn't release yet and I was contemplating holding onto them for breeding next spring. What I would like to know is will they breed like pheasants? As in will one male cover a few females? Or do they breed in pairs? Any info appreciated

not sure on the breeding side of it , but we started stocking a pond with duck years back and the first few years we were putting 100 ducks on it a year .it drew in wild ones and there has been several ducklings breed on the pond , we havnt stocked it this year yet and there is about 100 ducks on it already .

we feed it all year round so there not jumpy 4200fps took some nice pic before they go up and flew off .

we made boxs for ducks to lay in and they seemed to be hit and miss .

going to try the tube on the pole next year make them over the winter .

one if the lads put up a gud video of it some where here.

    best of luck
