Help Needed With Sky Sports Packs

Just signing up for Sky Sports here and I can't afford the full package. I'm trying to decide whether to pick Sports 1 or Sports 2. Is there definitive channels for each pack(is Sky Sports 1 and 2 in Sports 1 and Sky Sports 3 and 4 in Sports 2?) or are all the channels and sports mixed into each pack?

I want to use it mainly for Heineken Cup rugby and Formula 1.

Any sort of clarification will be helpful.

I assume you are a Sky subscriber and if you are out of contract then why not give them a call and say you want to cancel. You might get an offer of 25% or 50% off the sports pack which would leave you getting all sports channels and at a reasonable cost. The worse they can do is say no and you can tell them to go ahead and cancel and there's a chance you would get a phone call from them before your 30 days notice expires making you an offer. If you dont you can always call back and tell them you are staying put.

You can subscribe to Sky Sports 1.

Then if yherer is something on SS2 you want to watch ring Sky a few hours brfore and they can change it over for you, at no cost.

You can do this as much as you like. Bare in mind you wont get SS3 or SS4 afaik though.

Ditch the movies & you'll get Entertainment Extra & Sports for €67 a month,if you cut back on the entertainment pack it knocks €8 off the cost.

How much is a call to Sky per minute?

its an 0818 number so national rate.

will be a lot more if you call from a mobile i would think.

Wrong! You can now only change your package once per month. So if you change from SS1 to SS2, you're stuck with SS2 for a month.

It seems they got wise to the trick!
