Camping in Inishmore

    Hi, I was just wondering if anyone has camped ''wild'' in Inishmore..I am going this weekend and I understand the campsite is at max capacity, and every hostel and b&b is booked out.. is it safe? There is so much walls and fields s I'm sure it wouldn't be too much hassle. Anyone here with experience?

    where are you going to camp, in someones garden or field? not all the islanders appreciate this.

    I have seen people camp down near one of the old churches. there are remote spots on the far end of the island. I am wary of camping on someone elses property and if I do I keep out of sight of any houses.

    Theres loads of fields that are disused and perfect for camping. The further away from the town the more spots there are. There would be no problem with you camping there for a night or 2 so long as you dont intend to light a big fire or litter..
