Comag Porty II satellite receiver - on/off switch switches mains neutral, not live?!

I opened up one of these Comag Porty II satellite receiver, that came in a Lild satellite 'camping' kit of some years ago (as well as mains also had a 12VDC input). Have a good look at the attached pictures and you will see that the (single pole) mains on/off switch at the back switches the neutral (blue) - not the live (brown) of the mains input as you'd expect?!

    Why do this?
In normal operation it may not be a problem, but in some situations (such as water getting into the receiver) it may increase the possibility of a shock or damage!

Any such electrical on/off switch would switch either Live on its own, or both Live and Neutral (double pole). To switch Neutral on its own is bizarre ???

I have opened up the earlier version of these receivers (Porty with no 'II'), and the same situation is to be found, its not just a once off.

With european 2 pin plugs there is a 50/50 chance that either wire is live. They may not have considered the UK where the brown is always live.
