    The 450bhp A8 Estate (Avantissmo) - circa 2000
    2001-audi-a8-avantissimo-concept_100386013_l.jpg
Why? It would have further entrenched Estates as uber luxury and provided a top body size estate with the refinement of a 1st Class Continental Train cabin.

The New Beetle Ragster - 2005
    Volkswagen-New-Beetle-Ragster-Concept-2005-1-590x442.jpg
Why? Would have helped man-up the VW New Beetle as Ragtop/Roadsters are a lot cooler than the vanilla model.

    BMW M8 (550bhp NA 48v V12) - circa 1994?
    05-11-BMW-M-GmbH-Prototypen-BMW-M8-fotoshowImage-12030440-498131.jpg
Why? Would have positioned BMW where they wanted to be with the E31 and failed (repeatedly) - as an Aston Martin / Ferrari GT competitor

    Audi R8 V12 TDI - 500bhp of DERV - 2009
    audi_r8_v12_tdi_jalopnik-topshot.jpg
Why? Diesel maybe horrid stuff, but what a halo car to sell TDIs and would have proven diesels could be sporty and fun. The lack of this car shows all they are good for is unexplained fires in your concept models.. :D

The current beetle coupe thing isn't far off what you posted Matt. saw one in Fuerteventura at christmas, they're a cool looking yoke in the flesh.

The Ferrari Modulo, designed in 1970 but even today it looks futuristic.

Imagine if DMC were bought out rather than dissolved. I'd love to see what the DeLorean would look like today (or at least the last incarnation of it) and what other cars they could roll out.

The VW Space UP ...with a small diesel or electric motor in the REAR :D

First thing that came to my mind when I saw the thread title (apart from 'have' instead of 'of' :D)

Also I fcukin' love that colour that BMW used from the late 70's through early 90's. Looks awesome on any car.

That's Imola Red isn't it? I was looking at an E46 M3 in that colour and it was unreal!

Marlow or Matt would be the best men to answer that question but I think it's Hanna Red. The M3 you were looking at was quite a bit darker I think.

Won't appeal to many, but I think a 166 estate could have been OK, given how nice most the Alfa estates are.

Bit of a dodgy photoshop job:

Imola Red is slightly darker (well, it is now anyway).
