I seem to have a problem that many web sites are very slow to load at times. I don't believe it is a problem with the speed as I can download videos no problem.

An info line at the bottom of the screen displays:

Waiting for ...... then it could be any of the following:
    c0.dmlimg.com
    13.yimg.com
    1.yimg.com
    mail.yimg.com
    s02.mdm.net

    c2.dmlimg.com (daft)
    c3.dmstatic.com
    c8.dmstatic.com

b-static.net (boards) Happened today when replying to a post - I was waiting several minutes and gave up.

    adyieldmanager.com (yahoo.co.uk)

What is causing the waiting problem? Is it a fault with my computer, my ISP or the site I am trying to access?

    Can this be resolved?

Do you have loads of programs running in the background, or many extensions installed in your browser ?

Thanks for the prompt reply ASJ112.

I've just checked my Mozilla Firefox extensions and I had one called "Collusion" which interconnected different cookies. Very interesting to look at.
I have removed it and I checked Daft.ie (with which I have had most problems) and it loaded perfectly. It could have been this. Will see how it goes over the next few days.

No, it wasn't the Mozilla extension "Collusion". I only have 4 extensions in all.

I've just tried loading something in Daft.ie which didn't load fully and after a minute or so the screen stayed like this - missing images

try this first, open firefox, click the Help tab, click Restart with add-ons disabled. Any better after that ?

If not, can you do Step #5 here
