I'd personally get a 670 instead of the 7950. Also, save some money and get two lots of this if you really need 16 gigs.

    Seems very expensive...

    Thanks

    its from pcspecialist.co.uk

It also includes windows 7 and wireless adaptor

its probably €150-200 more than the one you suggested but it is built and includes 3 year warranty (1 year parts / 3 years labour)

You wouldn't get it for cheaper in Ireland. Anyone know of better value from UK or Ireland?

yes hardware versand. Look up previous threads. Cheapest site to build a custom pc. Many posters will build the pc for you according to your budget

as stated I'm only interested in buying from UK or Ireland.

I have been reading many of the posts about buying from hardware versand and it is obviously the cheapest option which is great but I have decided I won't be buying from there.

I personally prefer a 3 year warranty and a pre built pc that I can return without too much hassle if something goes wrong.

Does anyone have experience with pcspecialist, dinopc, overclockers, chillblast or scan?, from what I have seen on these sites they are cheaper than Dell or any other retailer in Ireland.

dabs.ie is also pretty good imo. Again, compared to hardwareversand they are expensive on certain components.

Unless you buy prebuilt you won't be able to get a warranty on the whole rig however most manufacturers will give you a decent warranty on the individual components.

    Almost no one when dealing with PC components avails of their consumer rights with the seller. Almost everyone deals with the manufacturer under guarantee. This is because;

    a) they are normally faster
    b) they offer very long cover
    c) 90% of faults aren't faults they are down to the user
    d) manufacturer in some instances cover the user breaking it where as the retailer does not

Makes almost no difference where you buy the components. Personally I find Scan and Komplett very good.

Speaking from some experience of both sides of the fence (seller and buyer) returning any prebuilt machine is a bloody farce. It's not so bad if you are resident in mainland UK but in Ireland your looking at some major headaches.

If you insist on going with a prebuild - try chillblast in the UK.
