It was a task to get clarity in this mix with the guitarist tuning to drop A.

Been doing a lot of metal lately. Looking forward to recording some straight up rock or indie so I don't have to spend 3 hours on drum editing for each song :-/

    It's loud.

And loaded with every conceivable contemporary metal cliche without the slightest bit of individuality or surprise. Which to some people is a success - because anything that might sound original would be a failure of "musicianmanship".

But you can program my drums any day, Iceman.

    I like the kick programming.

Nice and crisp, the drums are re-sampled right? I'd like to hear the guitars up in the mix just so it sounds but thats just my preference

This guy I know specialises in this type of protools metal - it may be of interest to you? or you might be sick of clicky as you like double kiks?!
