    hello

I have the pc stated in the title above it is used in work and is constantly left on. today it wouldn't start for some reason. there is power running from the socket to the psu in the cable. there is a green light on, on the motherboard. I was looking online and it suggests that the problem is possibly the psu, the motherboard or the usb circuit as that had the power switch on it.

would anybody have any idea of ways of testing the components to see which one is at fault. as I don't want to spend a lot of money buying parts to realise that's not the problem

You can try test the PSU in another machine, get a PSU from another machine or buy a PSU Tester.
