Nexus 7 Accessories

Hi

I have been finding it difficult to find accessories for this device probably because it is so new.

In particular I'm looking for a good leather case and would be happy if someone has a suggestion.

I'm also interested in other accessories for the device.

40dollars for a simple case?? Fook that....heres a simple leather case for 9dollars, DX will have more accessories shortly, including cables, screen protectors and more cases.

I have one of these cases for my ipad....awesome case....but took forever for them to make it and deliver it. It was if they were overwhelmed with orders and were struggling to keep up. Lovely case though.

Very happy with it so far. Fits snugly to the Nexus and the auto sleep feature is handy.

Also surprised by how well the stylus works with the Nexus too!

Just got shipping confirmation for my portenzo case today. Does anyone know how long delivery usually takes with then once they send you confirmation saying that it has been shipped.

I got that one and its a great case. Looks better than the official one. Now I just need another n7 to put in it..

Anyone know where I could get a male micro usb to female USB cable. Its for my nexus 7 so i can stuff from a memory stick. Had one ordered only to be told today it is lost in the post. I need one before the weekend as I'm heading away for a while.

I have one I ordered for my phone before but it needs a powered usb hub to run so I never got to test it properly.
Reading on here that I need a particular one for the S3 (which I hope to get in Sept.)
If you can meet me lunchtime Thursday it's yours for the taking.
No guarantees it works but it should as it's only a few months old.

I'm in Dublin City Centre.

It looks similar to a case I had on a Motorola Xoom 1, fantastic cover, nice and thin and doesn't cover the border of the screen much.

Thats the one I have been looking at and I would be interested to hear your review once you get it delivered especially with regards to how well you feel the N7 is protected once in the cover . That would be my major concern given that this is now my pride and joy .

I see you have your N7 a week now, (not stalking honestly!), I'm following the Currys thread, should have mine by the end of the week, please please be a non faulty one!

No problem, it looks like it will be at least 2 weeks for delivery but I will post up my thoughts once I get it, the reviews on Amazon seem favourable so hopefully its as good as it looks.

Thats the main reason I have for getting it, I had the first Motorola Xoom but found it way too heavy to use for reading or browsing for extended periods.

I only ordered mine online yesterday, the wait now is the worst part, its like being a kid at christmas!

Ok for anyone interested Dealextreme now have a number of silicon and plastic type covers available for Nexus 7 aswell as a couple of leather cases including a pink one.

Leather Cases are 10 dollars and covers are around 6 dollars. I probably would be more inclined to go with the leather cases on the previous page as they have a stand and also the magnetic standby feature whereas these dont, but the covers look pretty nice.


Only issue with DX is the shipping, although it's free it usually takes between 2-3 weeks so be patient. On the plus side though, if you make an order thats more than 30dollars you get a free go on their Roulette style wheel. Ive made 2 orders and won 5 dollars and 10 dollars store credit respectively...which is nice

Case is very good, the magnetic switch works well. The device fits snugly into the case and the layout is perfect.
I find myself using the pen a lot more than I thought I would, it's extremely handy, overall, good product for a great device!

Just received this cover, could not be happier.
It seems really snug and secure in the cover, and the overall thickness isn't much more than without.
All the buttons, ports are easily accessible and the cover turns on and off the screen perfectly while opening and closing.

If you have any questions, just shout. Also it was delivered quicker than expected.

The only problem now is that I have to return the N7 as the screen is lifting on the left hand side.
