VRM and Avantones

Was curious about the VRM and for €100, I got it.

The studio Adam emulation sounds amazingly close to my studio sound and this toy is quite impressive.

Things however sound pretty ****e on the Avantone emulation which makes me wonder does anyone uses Avantone and what is it good for?

Also, does anyone here uses VRM, and how is your experience with it?

    cheers.

    I've a pair of Avantones .

Being a small sealed box they're good for setting balances, usually at low level.
Checking for bass and kick audibility on small systems.

Also as they're just a small single ( are they 4 inch?) speaker they have reduced bandwidth , not a lot of bottom or top which again focuses on the critical midrange.

I actually use a pair of 2 Euro 2 inch speakers too , driven by a headphone amp.

Not a particularly beautiful listen but a useful tool.

I'd question how something like a VRM could reproduce something with a fast bass , Auratones and NS10s, The Rock etc on something ported with a much slower bass Genelec 8000s for example .
