Privatisation of local bus services

Hi, I heard a bus driver talking to someone about the local bus services being bought out by CIE. He also said that they won't be accepting bus passes (for elderly and disabled). I don't know if there is any truth to this but I thought I'd ask. Also I thought all bus services, private or public, accepted bus passes anyway.…
