Bit of a fun thread with things a little quiet about here at the moment.

Things you are guaranteed to see in the SF -

    - Pink rims in a Stephen Ireland thread

    - Fan bashing in an Ireland thread, match or otherwise.

    - Popcorn gifs

    - 'Experts' claiming that X would be a super signing even though they've only seen him in Football Manager or on YouTube.

    - Seanh defending Serie A.

    - Gavin of the Shels variety having a pop at Prem fans.

    - Des calling people ****/idiots/c*nts (delete as appropriate).

    - The poster Andy Carroll referring to the real Andy Carroll as 'me'.

    - PaullyD talking so much sense for so long until you get him going about Newcastle.

    - Any thread on Celtic outside of the super one descending into a debate over history/politics.

    - darkman2 with too much time on his hands at 3am.

Keep it light hearted or I doubt it'll last.

G.K. popping up in a random thread and posting about how he thinks (insert player that almost no one has ever heard of before) is brilliant and would fit in perfectly at a club before slinking off into the wilderness waiting for the next thread to come along.

I used to think I knew a lot about the game until I read his posts.

Noobs attempting to troll the match/superthreads after just getting access and either getting pissed off because they are ignored or getting their asses handed to them after someone takes the bait. And getting subsequently banned.
Newcomers being surprised theres a rangers thread and immediately trying to troll it.

People posting "starting XIs" of their team, containing players that don't play for their team. It's especially cringey when said formations contain more than one player who doesn't play for that team.

There's been a few in the Liverpool thread this summer where 4 or 5 or so are new players - half of whom we've often not even been linked to. ****ing facepalm.

    "He's shíte"

    "He's world class"

there is no middle ground in the Soccer Forum.

I'd love to have two accounts, one a rabid Pool fan and one a rabid United fan (alan and boggles for example), and go into one of the threads and post the same negative opinion about a player.

The "locals" would turn on the opposition poster, call them a troll and report the post. The same opinion posted by the "local" fan would be met with backslapping, congratulatory sycophantic arselicking and about three others saying the same thing a few weeks later.

How every goal, no matter how good it is results in criticisms of the keeper and/or defenders.

Sometimes goals are just goals and no defence can not concede goals.

    On Irish-based MB's in general:

    1. Posters using "Everybody knows..." in attempt to gain support for weak argument(s).

    2. The insular Football View of a small but significant number of League of Ireland posters.

    3. Posters becoming apoplectic at a Minority view being expressed.

The result is for me, it reaffirms that Football Supporters are some of the most Conservative, narrow-minded members of my Community.

If a young player doesn't make an immediate impact in his first game for a club, the general consensus among most opposition fans, and some fans of that club, is that he's shíte.
