I bought an Alfa Spider with the Help of AMS in Finglas.
I have nothing but praise for the work they advised me that needed to be done to the car. Nothing was hidden or avoided and when I took delivery of the car and discovered some minor niggles they were sorted out immediately.
Lee and Ciaran are easy to deal with and very straightforward.
I plan to use them for all work / servicing to be done on the car.
They have all the diagnostic stuff and know their way around the cars.
I hope you r experience is as good as one was and it's nice to experience a nice bit of customer service for a change.

Was that a red one ?

Looked at it last summer, It had a cracked windscreen, torn rear hood and was dangerously low on oil.
It was also "forty slades of red"....so I passed on it.

PS, these are the best Alfa specialist (old or new) in Dublin and have been for some 30 years.

    That's the one.
Windscreen replaced, roof has no tears, mauve returned to red, no oil issues to report and car all services for the mile on it. Windows realigned and roof motor gear cog replaced as it was broken. (I am selling more if anyone needs one). Timing belt was done again, even though less than 1000 miles done on the one that was replaced as per service.
It's going a treat and fingers crossed will continue to do so. Put in a new Bluetooth radio to finish it off. (If I can attach a pic I will).
I have used TI before when I had previous Alfas and agree they are good.

I would run screaming like a banshee from a Spider that ever ever had any oil warnings/issues, and if I viewed one with low oil, you'd not see me for dust.

Best of luck with it, hopefully no long term damage has been done due to the oil being low.

Sounds like the rest of it has had any issues addressed.

Nice one walsheliz. Had similar experience with Alasta Auto's with my Alfa GTV. Stood over everything, it's a really nice experience to have good, honest after sales service. I'd be bringing my cars back to Alasta if they were near me now.

The guys in the technical forum for gtvs/spiders are incredibly good.

Pretty much any issue you will have they will have advice on :)

No, a grey gtv which required vast amounts of work to be road worthy :)

At one point the dreaded bottom end failure was considered as a cause of the dire engine noise, but it was part of the timing kit thankfully

I've yet to finish minor stuff like replacing the thermostat, and cosmetic stuff like undoing dents and scratches.

Newest addition, now a three strong Alfa household... :D

A grey GTV with teledials sounds the business, I'd love a V6...

    That's gorgeous :)

Mine doesn't have teledials, they need offsets (think that's what they are called?) and are subject to cracking if the wrong torque is applied to the wheels.

I've the original alloys on mine and to be honest I really like them (when they are clean) compared to teledials (I've a set going begging if you are interested? 16"?)

I'm half tempted to look for a very late cup for my next car :D

It's such a nice car, it has so many flaws but it's just so nice...

I have 16's teledials on mine anyway so no need for another set! If you know of a leather interior going begging I'd love to know! I think the teledials really suit the GTV... But the V6 would be delish...

Here is a few pics of the Spider after the work was done.
Again, the lads in AMS did a great job and I am very pleased.
