Yes

Download the channel editor from the website

Dump ur chanel list onto ur USB and then open it in the Editor on ur PC/Laptop

Do your changes

Save back onto USB stick and upload onto box

Note: You cannot rename the groups on teh browser, eg Sport, News, Music - you have to that later when you put the stations back onto the box (I think there are instructions in the manual 4 this)

So you could use a Dream tool to download the data, rearrange it and then export it as a TXT file. You then superimpose that over the ALI firmware. BTW You cant FTP into these boxes so you have to upload it via USB.

When dumping the file to my PC, while file specifically is it? I've read online its a dump.abs file but this doesnt seem to work?

For some reason the names of the channels dont appear when I open the file in the Editor. Very strange!

Try clicking on "all services" on the left upper corner of the editor.

The new system software version introduces many improvements and bug fixes reported by users so far. And gives to use the new features. We recommend you upgrade to the new version, and then restore the factory settings in order to "clean" the TV's settings.

F.Y.I. I downloaded the latest firmware last night. I saw no obvious difference between this and the previous version.

Hi just wondering does anyone else have this problem that started about an hour ago. All my saorview channels are out of sync, I'm on V1.23B2. The sat channels are all grand, our signal comes from Truskmore.

Happened me about a week ago. I fixed it by deleting all the saorview channels and downloading them again.

Hi i recently installed a ARVIVA 250 combo box, but i am having problem with the record option. I assume I not reading instructions properly. The instant record is fine, but when i decide to record a saorview channel in advance, the record dont cone on when the time comes round. I would be recording from the 7 day menu on saorview. I have checked in the record time settings and I do have the program saved to there. Thanks for any help.

when you acivate a timer the second line is timer service

there are 3 options turn off , channel and record , you need to select record

and save the timer

Hi NOWSO, thanks alot for your help. It got me well sorted. I wonder could you help me with 2 more questions.

1, if i want to record a station fron the free to air station and i know the time its on, can i just move along the menu till i reach my required time and select the record option, even though the menu will be blank at this stage.


2, i want to use a usb stick to record my tv and i wondering how big a usb stick you would recommend if i want to store up to 6 hours recording. I know an external drive would be way to go but I wouldnt be comfortable with it plugged in and i not in house.

Yes just set the channel the Start time and the Duration of the recording

I use a seagate extension 1tb drive to record and store , a cruiser 8gb blade works aswell . hd recordings take up a lot more , it depends n the bitrate record an hour and see

its been fine , and you can disconnect it if you want .

I dont use timeshift i have it turned off

Its on the pvr settings .
gives you the option to rewind and pause .

the box itself is hot the drive isnt

Hi Guys and maybe Girls
This has probably been answered before but
I have recorded a program on RTE 2 hd on my external hard drive and i want to burn it to dvd .
I connected my hard drive to my computer and copied it to my computer .
i have tried various programs and none work to convert and burn a TS file...any suggestions...thanks in advance .

then you can covert it with Movie maker on windows and can burn it with Windows media player

doing it from rte 2 hd can be trickier than non hd

ok , thanks very much for the advice , i will try it out and see what happens , i think as you say that its a hd recording makes it trickier as i think its a TS mpeg 4 file as opposed to a ts mpeg 2 file but i am only trying to gather information from the internet and i am learning through trial and error and from advice from helpful people like yourself but i will certainly try the k lite codec ...thanks again

Hi back again, I just noticed I have SKY News through my 250 bow and I just wondering should I be able to get more sky stations. When I was setting up the box I just assumed I wouldn't get these stations and so I just deleted them all.

no Sky News is the only one of the "Sky" channels that is free.

if u go on all channels if your recording soarview u can view record satellite and vice versa
