Spotted an ad in my local papers for 3 general operatives wanted by Wexford Co.Co. However the positions are only available as part of the Community Employment scheme & as such the successful applicants will only receive a nominal sum on top of their unemployment benefits.
There are similar positions filled in some of the local hospitals also.

My point is that there is currently an embargo on hiring staff for these positions no matter how short staffed the L A or the Health Board are yet they can hire workers through the CE scheme & these workers have little or no prospect of getting fulltime employment due to the embargo.A way of getting cheap labour imo.
