Laptop graphics card 640m vs 630m

I've been looking at some laptops for gaming around the 600-700 mark and i'm noticing that some brands such as lenovo are putting 630m graphics cards in their laptops while acer are putting 640m cards for the same price. I know a lot of people who own lenovo laptops so i'm swaying towards them, but since i'll be using the laptop for a good bit of gaming i'm wondering is the Acers 640m a better option (i.e. , much difference between the cards, is it reliable, good battery life as a result of the better card, any overheating issues?).

    This is the Acer:

    This is the Lenovo:

I'd have gone with a custom PC rather than a laptop for gaming but I need it to be portable for postgrad work aswell and can't afford both.

There is quite a huge difference in the GPU performance with 3D Mark 11. If it's purely gaming you're interested in, then the GT640m is a no-brainer.
