    Hi All,

I am new to cycling ( only a 1000k done so far ) and living in the Balrothery Area. I am looking for somewhere to tune my gears. I have a Cube Peloton Triple, with Shimano Sora group-set. I got them tweaked with my fist service but there is an annoying knocking sound on the front derailleur again. I don’t want to drop it back to Cycle Super Store as its miles away.

Can anybody recommend the place in Skerries or anywhere else close by?

By the way I tired to adjust myself the last time and they ended 50 times worse. I looked at the online tutorials and read how to do it but after wasting a whole weekend trying to fix it the last time, cursing at the wife, kicking the dog and punching the wheelie bin in frustration, I think i might just leave it to the Pro's. By the way my chosen profession only further frustrates this issue as I meant to understand this type of stuff!!

I also kind of regret getting the triple, think it makes a lot tougher to tune, I hardly use the small cog anymore....... except for that killer of a hill at Ardgillan!!

    Any advice much appreciated.

I would second Richies as per above, prices they charge are reasonable and they have often done the job within a short time frame which gives you a chance to grab a coffee and do a little shopping close by.

Cycle shop in balbriggan - they've always been very helpful when I've popped in. +1 also for Richies.

I would agree on Richies aswell. Hes a sound bloke and the young bike technician working with him knows his stuff. Would recommend him highly

Thanks, that's good of you to offer. I'm only living here 7 years so hope you have nothing against us blow ins!

Let me know when suits you. You can pm me your address or I could meet you at mine. I'm in no panic to get it done, bike is still ok to cycle. Was thinking of cycling it down anyway to Richies before i seen your post.

Midnight here still 25 degrees (was 32 earlier), realised I am Irish and dont cope great with the heat. That said sitting tweeting at midnight on the terrace with a cold beer has its advantages ........

Just to come back to this thread I started nearly 2 years ago. Whenever BCMF is busy or sleeping off a hangover I tend to use the Cycling and Angling Shop in Balbriggan. I have found them excellent over the years and Colm in there is an excellent mechanic and decent cyclist himself by all accounts. I would recommend to anybody who needs anything cycling related done in the North County Area.

Here's the Webiste with location and Contact Info.
