Thought that Sky Movies was an additional €15 per month. Seems it's €28

Am I incorrect here? I was sure I was only paying an extra €15 per month for the privilege of Sky Movies? I notice that in the UK, they seem to talk about an extra £10 per month.

But when I calculate my package, it seems to indicate that Sky Movies is actually €28 per month.

My full package is €76 per month

    Entertainment Extra Package = 33
    HD Package = 15

That leaves a balance of 28 which must be for movies, as I have nothing else. Am I correct? Has Sky movies really almost doubled in price since I last checked a few years ago?

    Thanks

    Sky Movies is €28/month.

Maybe the £10 UK offer is for half of the Sky Movie channels, or a time limited discount.

The ads for Sky Movies state "from €14 per month" or £10 if you live in the UK. The €14 only gives you half the movie channels.

DVD or BluRay seems a better value solution unless you have very broad or little preference.

€336 buys a lot of discs you can watch as often as you want whenever you want wherever you want.

But it's the convenience of it being on TV! It's a fact that people will watch a movie on TV even if they have the same movie on DVD sitting on a shelf.

I must admit that I don't subscribe myself. I wouldn't watch enough to justify the cost.

Thanks folks. What bothers me is that the picture quality on Movies HD has gotten so bad lately. Fright Night was shocking it was so bad, and many others are almost as bad. The high compression is really showing. I'm sick off it and I doubt it will improve.

most people think they are watching quality images if they are told they are.

If $ky say "this is in HD" then the sheep will believe that quality doesn't get any better than this.
